TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY OF INDIA-2025-47
VISIONINDIA@2047
The GDP of India in 2024 was 3.88 trillion , a growth of 7% from previous year. The next milestone as per vision of PM Modi is $5 trillion economy by 2029 and a developed country by 2047 when we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our independence.
India remains at the 5th spot, behind Japan at $4 trillion and Germany at $4.7 trillion.
Both the countries, Japan and Germany have highly developed manufacturing sector and a widespread global market for supply. Indian manufacturing is still in the developing stage under Make in India initiative. Since 2014 till now, the Modi government is working tirelessly to boost the infrastructure across India. Highways, Roads, Bridges, electricity connections, rural infrastructure , airports and waterways.
But despite the speed, the overall situation demands further development of infrastructure across many verticals. States like Bihar, Eastern UP, Andhra Pradesh, North Eastern states, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh needs inputs towards many critical infrastructure.
To support the fiscal expenses towards infrastructure related expansion, the country needs higher revenue generation through structural reforms.
The agrarian structure needs fundamental support towards higher agri and non agri employment and production of higher yields.
Only the strong Rural economy can lead to higher growth in Industrial sector through higher aggregate demand and consumption. The rise of India as one of the biggest supplier of services specially in the IT sector must pass to the rural sector in the form of higher education and skill development.
Policy Makers has to complete the circle by enhancing the skill training and providing the same back to the industries to boost production.
Considering the above constraints and the social structure, India needs strong central and state leadership to guide the country towards the desired goal.
VisionIndia-2047 with its chapters across 11 states was conceptualized to make this dream a reality.
