MAHARASHTRA ASSEMBLY SURVEY

The Power of a dedicated and research oriented approach.

In today's dynamic and fluid political situation in Maharashtra after the loksabha results, the ability to predict the outcome of upcoming assembly elections results has diminished greatly.

PARC is covering all the 288 assembly segments in the state to generate high quality reports on electoral chances of various political parties and respective candidates , social and economic conditions of the constituencies , the general mood of the voters, the micro and macro issues of the area concerned, the agricultural distress in the state and the industrial and employment status of the various areas.

The survey will extract data and information from 288 assembly segments with a very large sample size. The survey will also release separate data from the Onion belt of the state regarding the farm distress prevailing in the area.

With a target of covering 20K households in both urban and rural landscape, this survey is designed to catch the pulse of the voters for the upcoming assembly elections.

MAHARASHTRA AGRICULTURAL SURVEY

The social & political power of a Shetkari can destroy political entities if the system keeps them under stress.

Maharashtra has the largest number farmer's suicide cases. Parched lands compounded by mounting burden of debts have forced the farmers to take the extreme steps for decades.

The apathy among farmers towards the federal and political institutions are so great that the social fabric is under immense stress.

PARC through its specially designed survey and analysis covering the onion, sugarcane ,soyabean and oil seeds belt of Maharashtra is trying to get into the base of this distress. The survey will dig in data to relate how much the farm distress is due to natural causes and how much is being man made.

Our process is directed towards both social and political segments. While the results will shed light on crucial realities, it would act as pointers for political parties both in government and opposition to judge the rural sentiments.

The survey is likely to cover 10K households across 1000 villages across 30 plus districts of Maharashtra.
